The Quilter Foundation is Quilter’s charity which supports their focus on supporting communities and wider society.

Their aim is to empower young people to fulfil their potential, thrive and prosper, by providing funding and skills to charitable organisations.

Clydesdale Food Bank was established in March 2013 by the Church of Scotland in Carluke to serve all of Clydesdale. We became an independent charity in 2014.

We are supported by churches of all denominations from all over that area as well as schools, clubs and organisations of all types and private individuals.

The Food Bank is run by volunteers who give many hours to collecting, sorting, packing and delivering food, as well as taking part in various fund raising activities.

As well as the main hub in Carluke, there is a satellite distribution site in Biggar which serves the area around that community, with food supplied from our main Carluke hub.

We help anybody who needs our support; young, old, single people and families from all backgrounds, religious beliefs and ethnic origins, without prejudice. We aim to treat everyone fairly and with dignity. There is no charge for the food.

We cover a wide area throughout all of Clydesdale, an area of about 500 square miles with a total population of around 50,000.

We also have collection and donation points throughout the area including local supermarkets and churches. You find a complete list of our collection and donation points in the 'Give Help' section of the website.

THe HAAO Trust has kindly granted us £5000 towards food costs.
